Sonu Nigam was born July 30, 1973 in Faridabad, Haryana. Father Sonu Agam Kumar was a popular singer in local circles, performing in traveling shows, at wedding ceremonies and festivals, and he instilled in Sonu a passion for music. Once, when Son was only three years old, at an age when other children were just learning to speak, he performed on one of the shows with his father, performing a song by Mohamed Rafi Kya Hua Tera Vaada from the movie “Hum Kisise Kum Nahin”. His performance did not leave anyone indifferent and was even highly appreciated. It was then that Sonu tasted the glory.

Not everyone knows that as a child he starred in several films: Kaamchor (played Rajesh Roshan’s nephew Sonu), Ustadi Ustad Se (played Raju – young Mithun Chakroborty), Hum Se Hai Zamana (Shiva – Mithun in his youth), Taqdeer (Shiva – Shatrughan Sinha in his youth) and Betaab (Sunny – young Sani Deol). In his youth, he took part in various singing competitions, won in them. In the end, he was out of competition not only in his age group, but also in the older one. Then they began to invite him as an honored guest.

His first album of popular music was called Sapnon Ki Baat, the next was Deewana, however his third album Kismat was a huge success and immediately became platinum in terms of sales. Talent to Sonu is multifaceted, having looked at him, the directors began to offer him roles in the cinema. He starred in several films: Jaani Dushman: Ek Anokhi Kahani (2002), Kash … Aap Hamare Hote (2003), Love in Nepal (2004), Indian Idol (2004). He is extremely efficient, has given many concerts in 27 countries, including Russia. He manages to combine his singing career in cinema and pop music, to be a successful presenter on radio and television, while remaining a simple and cheerful person in communication.
