Biography
The famous film actor Ram Charan Teja is the son of the superstar of Indian cinema Chiranjeevi. Although the man took a lot of time to shoot, he gave his son an excellent upbringing. Despite the popularity that fell on him, his visual appeal and great talent, Ram is very modest in life, respects his fans and maintains a warm relationship with his mother and sisters.
Childhood and youth
Ram Charan was born in the spring of 1985 in the city of Chennai, in southern India. The fate of the future actor was probably a foregone conclusion, since he grew up in a creative family and since childhood absorbed a love of cinema. His father is an actor, two uncles (father’s brothers) also star in films
True, Teji’s mother is not busy in this area. She was engaged in the upbringing of her son and his two sisters – Sushmita and Shriji. The artist and his relatives belong to the Telugu-speaking diaspora, which is what Ram himself and his father speak in films.
Teja attended a regular school in Chennai, although he never had a love of learning, often skipped classes and negatively influenced his classmates. Because of this, parents were often called to the director. And Rama himself had to change 8 schools.
Such a biography cannot be called an example for a great future, but, contrary to all forecasts, the education received for the young man was enough to start an acting career. This was largely influenced by his natural talent.
Despite his reluctance to learn, Ram was not lazy in everything. For example, he enjoyed attending martial arts training, and from the age of 9 he began to learn horse riding.
Career
Teja made his film debut in 2007 with the action movie Cheetah Leap that won the hearts of Indian audiences. And the actor who performed the main role had an unprecedented success after the release of the tape. A lot of this was facilitated by the skillfully performed dances and songs by Ram Charan to the groovy music. Film critics praised his work and won three prizes at once.
After 2 years, Ram appears on the screens again, this time in the form of the commander-in-chief of the army of the principality of Udaighad, who lived in the 18th century. It was the blockbuster directed by S. S. Rajamouli “The Great Warrior”, which at that time received the status of the highest-grossing film and held this position for 3 years.
And although the audience noted the lack of acting experience in playing Rama Charan, or rather, the inability to express emotions, they appreciated his riding skills. However, these shortcomings did not prevent the artist from winning the Nandi Awards and the Filmfare Award for Best Actor in a Telugu Film.
After the unprecedented success and recognition of the audience, Ram Charan is more often invited to act. And therefore, a year later, his filmography is replenished with a new picture. The film “The Orange Color of Love”, where the main character was performed together with the beauty Genelia de Sousa, the hero of Teji is sure that love cannot be eternal, and this belief greatly interferes with building a relationship with his girlfriend.
In this picture, he again differs in his ability to move well in dance, but most of all, the audience remembered the parachute jump of their favorite artist, which he, having refused the help of an understudy, performed on his own.
Another film with the participation of Ram Charan, which was remembered by critics, was the action movie “Bet on Love” directed by Sampat Nandi. Teja reincarnated as a guy who, in order to obtain funds for the treatment of his father, gets involved in an adventure. To this end, he tries to fall in love with a girl (actress Tamanna Bhatia). Although the reviews about the tape were contradictory, she still managed to help out a large amount at the box office.
There are other Indian films in the actor’s career that made him popular. This was the film “The Hero of Calcutta”, for his work in it Teju was nominated for the Filmfare Award for Best Male Actor. Also on the list of his works were outright failures, such as the picture “Lingering Reckoning”, and this was his first Bollywood film, which unexpectedly received negative criticism and failed at the box office.
But the next year, Ram Charan took revenge by working on the set of the comedy action movie Who is He? (alternative name “Soldier”, or “Volunteer”), which later became a blockbuster. Teja played 2 heroes at once. The first – Charan – fights against the tyranny of bandits in the plot, the second – Ram – dreams of revenge on his enemies for the death of his beloved girl. Allu Arjun, Shruti Hasan, Amy Jackson and others worked with him on the same site. And in the same 2014, the man got the role of Abhiram in the film “Benefactor”.
The actor received no less praise for his performance in Sreena Whitla’s 2015 Bruce Lee the Fighter, although the film itself had mixed reviews. Further Teja starred in the comedy action movie “The Prisoner”, where a swindler who escaped from prison, by the will of fate, has to protect the interests of poor farmers, and in 2018 he appears in two more films – “Life is a Theater” and “An Artist”
Personal life
The actor’s personal life has developed successfully. He is familiar with his chosen one since his youth, before they spent time together, not thinking that they would become spouses. The engagement to Apasana Kamineni with the artist took place at the end of 2011, the girl patiently waited for the wedding and in 2012 became Ram’s legal wife. The couple has no children.
Teji’s wife is the granddaughter of the founder of the Apollo Hospitals network of clinics, known in Southeast Asia, but she has nothing to do with her grandfather’s business. The girl works as the chief editor of a popular Indian magazine. She received her first position at the age of 15, and later served as vice president of a charity center.
Ram Charan Teja now
Teja continues to act in films even now, in 2019 he appeared on the screens as the main character in the action movie “The Vision of Ram”.
The picture tells the story of a man whose family happiness is in the hands of an extortionist. He goes in search of the sworn enemy to take revenge on him and destroy the underground empire. The audience appreciated the Indian artist’s acting, and fans hope that they will soon see him again in the movies.
